Start ShoppingA little girl with a big dream
In a village adorned by big old trees, pristine streams and genial mountains, lived a little girl with a big smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She found beauty in everything and everyone around her.
Once on a misty morning she went for a walk around her village to collect flowers from the plants and trees that were just waking up to the rising sun. She returned with her basket brimming with flowers of all colors and hues.
She arranged them carefully on her Papa's table. She snuck into the room where the old stitching machine was kept and threaded a needle before anyone knew. She returned to the table and started her work.
The songs of the birds faded away, the butterflies and the bees returned with their tummies full. The little girl was engrossed in work. As she finally lifted her head up and jumped out of her Papa's chair, on the table lay beautiful necklaces in place of the flowers she had picked.
She carefully put the needle back. She returned hastily and wore one of the necklaces. Her face lit up in front of the mirror of the rosewood wardrobe.
On the table lay more necklaces. The rest of them were made for her mother and sisters. She was elated to see her mother and sisters wearing the necklaces she had made — and that it made them happy. It lit a light within her.
As she grew up she started making jewellery with flowers, tree-seeds and all kinds of materials. She developed an eye for beautiful pieces of jewellery. Some she collected for herself, but most of it was for her mother, sisters and friends.
The girl is now far away from her village. But the light that was lit in her heart has not yet faded. It keeps on glowing as she sees the same happiness in the people wearing jewellery collections she created and curated, that she had seen years ago in the faces of her mother and sisters when they wore her flower necklaces.
